(For ease of reading this Privacy Policy, we refer to The International Hebrew Language School and other associated schools as “our school”, “the school”, “we”, “us”, “our”, “our” or “us”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and earning your trust. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how The International Hebrew Language School collects, uses, and otherwise processes your personal information in connection with your use of our websites (also known as “Website Services”) along with all educational products, programs, courses and services we offer in connection with this Policy.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?.

The School of Hebrew Language International collects personal information from registered users of our websites. Such information is necessary to identify new students to the school. Our school does not sell or trade users’ personal data to anyone. The school keeps private data private and any student who has provided personal information through the websites may update, delete and/or correct the information to keep personal contact information up to date.

  • We collect information that you provide directly to us, including through applications, forms, or written or oral communication with our customer service team.
  • We also collect information that your organization or university provides to us.

INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM OUR REGISTERED STUDENTS.

Personally identifiable information is only collected from students of The School of Hebrew Language International in connection with educational products, programs, courses and services to fulfill specific requests from our registered students. According to the educational services they use with us, therefore, we may collect information on the following categories:

  • Contact information and other information that allows effective communication with you, such as your full name, mailing address, cell phone number and email address.
  • Verification information: date of birth and ID number (DNI, Cédula, Rut, CURP or Passport).
  • Demographic data such as your gender, marital status, age, educational level and background in learning other academic areas related to our programs.
  • Professional information; title, career and function or position held.
  • Information about your computer or mobile device or other technological equipment that allows communication and access to online classes.
  • Communications and any other information you share, send or provide through the Services, such as email, SMS, Slack, requests made through automated chatbots or similar technology, calendar invitations.
  • Detailed information about the methods by which you contacted us or learned about our programs.
  • Biometric information; fingerprints and photograph.

NAVIGATION INFORMATION

When someone visits or interacts with our websites and pages, our service providers may also automatically collect and store a lot of information (known as “Navigational Information”). Although the automatically collected navigational information may not include personal data, we reserve the right to use that information for any purpose. Typically, a profile like this includes your name and any other information you provide or add (content, comments, recommendations, photos, etc.). Your resume, academic portfolio and other educational or professional details can also be included in your profile. This profile may be automatically generated and made available to other forum or network users depending on the Services you use. Your profile may also be accessible to a wider audience (for example, through our social networking or website pages).

Users and students using our services may have access to networks, chat rooms, forums and/or other private groups or our social networks. Please note that anyone can read, collect or use your postings on a network, in a forum, or in a chat room or group, and that we are not responsible for how third parties not invited or recognized by our school use the information you disclose publicly online.

We may share your personally identifiable information to third parties if we believe that doing so is necessary to; comply with our legal obligations, including to accountants, lawyers, CPAs, financial or other advisors; comply with the law (including court orders and subpoenas); to respond to legal process served on us by law enforcement or other government agencies; to verify and abide by the rules governing our services, or to identify, restrict and prevent fraud; to enforce our Terms of Use;to protect the rights, privacy, safety or intellectual property of The School of Hebrew Language International, our affiliated schools, our employees or other customers of our websites; and/or to enable the proper functioning. It is possible that we may share your personal information with the third-party scholarship provider if you apply for a scholarship through The School of Hebrew Language International or a third-party scholarship provider or if you are awarded a scholarship to fulfill reporting requirements.

For employer partners, we may present employers or job opportunities as part of our services, and the employer may pay us if the candidate is successfully placed. Your resume, LinkedIn profile and GitHub profile are typically the three pieces of information we share about you. This may also include information you provide in a profile on a job search platform. In corporate matters we may share your personal information when we buy, sell, finance, transfer or acquire all or a portion of a business, company, products, services, courses, assets and among others, such as in connection with a merger, receivership, reorganization or contract.

With your consent, we will also use and disclose your name, likeness and other personal characteristics and private information for advertising, promotional and other business and operational purposes.
